Principal Adjuster, Thoroughbred Unlimited, Inc.

Portrait of Anthony DeCesare

Background

Four decades of large-loss adjusting.

Anthony has been a licensed insurance adjuster since the early 1980s, starting his career in the independent adjusting insurance business and building a solid background as both an independent and a company staff adjuster.

That career led to the handling of a variety of high-profile, multi-million-dollar insurance claims throughout the United States — commercial property, business income and extra expense, inland marine and builders risk, agriculture and food, industrial and specialty equipment, and nationwide catastrophe response.

He has worked on notable assignments such as the Exxon Valdez oil spill on behalf of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Liability Fund in Alaska, under the direction of the U.S. Federal Court. As an independent adjuster he has also served as an appointed appraiser and umpire.

Thoroughbred Unlimited, Inc. was founded to bring that level of handling directly to carriers, program managers, self-insureds and public entities — without a file being handed down a bench.

The Standard

Quality. Performance. Integrity.

Three words on a logo are easy. On a $200 million file they are the whole job: the quality of the inspection, the performance of the reporting, and the integrity of the number at the end of it.

Also Certified

Credentials beyond the adjuster license

  • National Flood Insurance Program certificate holder, FCN 70004753 — residential, manufactured, small commercial, large commercial and condominium (RCBAP).
  • California Earthquake certified for seismic loss assessment.
  • Louisiana licensed adjuster and appraiser.
  • Federal Aviation Administration private pilot airman's certificate — useful in reaching remote and post-catastrophe locations.

Work directly with the adjuster.

No intake queue, no reassignment. The person who inspects your loss is the person who reports on it.
